All about Anastasiia

Hello there,

I am Anastasiia, and I am so glad you found my website. If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist who specializes in women's health, a mom and a wife, real food obsessed, and I have a thing for coffee, books and shopping.

WHY DID I START THIS BLOG;

Years ago, in my early 20s, I went through the roller coaster of nutritional and training highs and lows. I got caught up in crazy diets and exercise routines to become healthy. As a result, I dealt with hormonal issues, was misdiagnosed with PCOS, lost my period, struggled with infertility, and was told that I would not be able to have kids naturally. I suffered from an eating disorder and gastrointestinal issues… And the list, unfortunately, goes on.

For years I was trying to fix myself. I was doing tons of research, read numerous self-help and diet books, talked to dozens of health practitioners and doctors, and switched my exercise routine to yoga & meditation ( I even went through Yoga Teacher Training ), but nothing worked.

And while I made just about every mistake, you could make on my way to getting back my health. I also pursued my degree in Nutrition as a result of it. Once I became more educated and did some experiments on myself, I got my period back and eventually became pregnant.

I am here for you. My goal with this site is to show you that proper health is not about counting calories, obsessing about the perfect diet, depriving yourself, and having a "perfect exercise routine." I want to help you heal mentally and physically and leave healthier, nutritious, and well-balanced lives.

Here I share my journey, knowledge, and experience with all of you. I know how it feels because I have been there. I am still there. It is not all that perfect all the time. I still judge myself while standing in front of the mirror and looking at my plate. This means I know the pitfalls.

Let me help you to learn about food, health, and the best ways to restore, maintain, and enhance harmony--both inside and outside our bodies. You can also check some cookbooks and wellness books that will help you in achieving a happy and healthy lifestyle.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME;

I am a mother to two beautiful girls.

I was born and raised in Ukraine. I moved to the US when I was 20 years old.

I strive to buy Organic, non-GMO, and sustainable foods because It is better for my health and my family, the environment, and the farmers who grow our food.

I do not believe in counting calories! While there is nothing wrong with knowing what is in your meal, picking a specific number that will limit you every day to how much you can eat can lead to bad relationships with yourself and the food you are eating. There is a better way.

Diet is just one part of an equation.

As you read about, I have a "thing" for coffee. Even while writing this, I am having my perfect cup of almond milk cappuccino. The soothing aroma, the rising steam, and that first sip make it a very comforting drink.

My first degree is in physic. Getting that degree was the reason why I moved to the US. I hated it so much that I decided to "run" as far as possible. It is also one of the reasons why I pursued my degree in Nutrition. I have to know the science behind the recommendations, so when I was told that I must start counting calories to lose weight, I had to learn why.
